A creative agency via Comtec Translations for an international client
Description:
On-going translation and editing of a series of stories for small children, with a glossary of new vocabulary.
Challenges:
Producing creative translation that’s factually correct and is appropriately worded for the age group.
My solution:
- Using clear, simple and uncomplicated sentences
- Using literary devices to make the text interesting for the target group
- Suggesting certain changes relevant to Hungarian audiences
- Assessing the vocabulary list to see if it’s relevant to Hungarian children
- Making sure glossary items are used in the body of the text
- Taking the editor’s comments into consideration and finalising the translations
Anikó has been a great asset on the Hungarian team for this project over the last 3 years. The translations she delivers are of the highest quality and she’s always happy to help with any queries that may arise. It’s a real pleasure to collaborate with her!
