Translation and transcreation of promotional videos showcasing various activities and sights in a country.
Challenges:
Creating an alluring and compelling Hungarian copy that captured the essence of the campaign.
My solution:
- Formal and singular “you”, so the viewer can feel they’re being addressed personally and respectfully
- Smoothly flowing rhythm ‒ I treated the copy as if it was a poem
- My choice of words was governed by the idea that these locations are magical ‒ I specifically chose phrases and expressions that expressed this
- Reflecting the voice-over artist’s mesmerising voice using words with softer sounds
